Charity Foundation “Future for Victims of War and Chernobyl” — for justice, equality and democracy
Our foundation was created to support people whose lives were destroyed by two major tragedies in the history of modern Ukraine — the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident and the war.
The president of the foundation, Oleksandr Abalov, knows this pain firsthand: he himself suffered from the effects of radiation as a child, and was forced to leave his home during the war. His personal experience became the basis of our mission — to help those who found themselves in a similar situation.
We provide:
- Humanitarian and medical assistance to victims of war and Chernobyl
- Support for displaced persons and families who lost their homes
- Physical and psychological rehabilitation programs
- Psychological support for people who have experienced loss and trauma
We are a democratic organization.
Our decisions are made transparently and collectively, with respect for every opinion. We believe in the power of community, where every voice matters.
We are for gender equality.
Our team is made up of both women and men, and we provide conditions where everyone can realize their potential. We believe that a just society is only possible when everyone’s rights, regardless of gender, are respected equally.
Our mission is not just to survive, but to build the future.
We believe that even after difficult trials, it is possible to regain hope, restore dignity, and start living again.
We are here to help.
We are here to remember.
We are here to build the future.
